1. Develop a plan for a soccer season
In a piece of paper, write an outline of your soccer team’s goal, mission, expectations, rules, etc. for the next season. Plan the activities that are needed to be done to meet your goal and expectations.
After you completed the soccer plan, share it with the coach director, that team’s players, and their parents as well. Their participation matters a lot and you have to consider what they are going to say about your plan. Taking down their points during your discussions about the plan is great. These are important so that you will come up with the same purpose at the end. With this, you will be walking together on the same track towards your goal.
2. Develop your work in a fun way
To gain respect and to keep your team in order, being a strict coach is important. Always remind them that there is always a time for play and a time for work. Develop ways in your training sessions that are enjoyable, but still can help the soccer players stay focused.
