In soccer, the forwards (or strikers) play closest to the front and are usually the first line of offense. Learn how to play the position of forward in this free beginner soccer lesson on video, with training in basic skills and moves.     before watching this video it was the start of our 20games,we lost 5-1,after watching this video,we won the same team 7-2 at away,this video works alot for new peoples.

    The key to being a forward is not listening to this guy, lol. First being a forward requires all of the following, good passing, keeping possession, winning possession (goal kicks,punts, regular passes), taking shots when you have the opportunity, good trapping and speed/ball control. ***Key things to remember when in the offensive third always go middle, your responsible for d as well put pressure on their d and forwards are supposed to make something out of nothing (use moves, take shots).

    ya, im a defender but my coaches try me on forward sometimes and they sub me out and yell even though i dont play offense anyway, so thnx.
    my biggest problem is i always run back to defend by mistake

    mann striker is easy i scored 15 goals in 9 games and 19 in total as i was moved to mid to striker alot , our season is only 16 games long hell lol

    The biggest problem that most youth soccer players have is that they bunch up on the field. Staying in open space is one of the hardest things to get them to do. They all want to move toward the ball and they all want to be 3 feet in front of the goal before they shoot. Or three feet apart before they pass.
